Maiden UCC SRC Innovation And Excellence Awards Launched

The maiden edition of the University of Cape Coast SRC Innovation and Excellence Awards was launched on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the School of Medical Sciences Auditorium of the University. The award, an initiative of the Student Representative Council aims at rewarding distinguished students of the University who have excelled in their various field of endeavour.

Speaking at the launch, a senior lecturer at the Department of Religion and Human Values, Dr Mustapha Hamid commended the SRC for putting together such an event to honour outstanding student. He also added that people ought to be recognised for their hardwork and individual should pursue excellence rather than mediocrity.

The Awards will be held on April 22, at the New Examination Centre (NEC) and will see over 27 students as well as lecturers being honoured in competitive categories.

Unlike other awards in the University of Cape Coast, the SRC Innovation and Excellence Awards is the only kind that recognises the achievement of students in other disciplines other academic.
