Armed robbers in the early hours of Wednesday 25th February 2015 around 1:15am unleashed terror on Wishes Hostel, a four-storey building which is located close to the campus of the university.
We gathered that the robbers armed with dangerous weapons carted away a laptop, phones, money and other valuables but did not molest or rape any student.
Two of the students who were attacked, Hannah Acquah (level 200) and Grace Oheni (level 200) said they were in their room when the robbers arrived, saying the robbers forced open the door of the room
According to them "The Wishes Hostel is amongst those that pay huge amounts to hostel managers but obviously do not get value for money".
An investigation has been launched by both the police and the hostel manager into the cause of this incident though the victims think nothing good can come out of it.
Well, i think(this is just my thought) that The University of Cape Coast being a center of excellence and knowledge must do something about these robberies that students have been facing in their various hostels.
