Scientists in California say they have invented a smartphone battery that can be fully recharged in about one minute.
The researchers at Stanford University say the prototype battery is rechargeable and made of aluminium, and could replace existing technology.
They say the aluminium battery is more environmentally-friendly than alkaline batteries, and more stable than lithium versions, which can occasionally catch fire.
