Students’ Representative Council of the University Of Cape Coast has launched its 52nd SRC Week Celebration under the theme “The Role Of The Private Sector In Solving Graduate Unemployment"
The colourful and well-attended event was graced by dignitaries such as the Acting SRC President Francis Kwabena Arthur, Mr. E.T Akonnor, a lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Dr Georgina Yaa Oduro, also a lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and Professor Samuel K. Anim, a lecturer at the Department of Economics.
Dr Oduro, who was the main speaker at the event, advised students to embrace hard work and endeavour to excel creditably in their pursuits.
She further stressed that, graduate unemployment cut across all persons who have acquired post-secondary/tertiary education including vocational schools, polytechnics, Colleges of Health and Education as well as Universities.
Patrons of the events were entertained by some cultural performance from the ATL Cultural troupe.
