The patrol team of the University of Cape Coast Security Section has tonight [30th November, 2015] pursued and captured a suspected robber who allegedly stole a vehicle described by eye-witnesses as a 'blue-black golf'.

"....so I only heard 'koronfuo!' (thief!) from a taxi...' Jeffery Anful a student who was close to the library related.
The robbery, according to a member of the security section Bossco Abeka is suspected to have happened at the old site of the university during the mid-hours of Monday evening.
"I was at post here in front of the library when I heard someone shout from a taxi which was speedily chasing a blue-black golf that briskly negotiated a curve on the library T - junction from Science..."
Mr. Bossco alleged that the robber could not find his way out with the stolen vehicle from the university premises so the victim secretly followed him up in a taxi to Science.
The chase got to its climax around 8:30pm when a member of the patrol team also beetled off his post on a motorbike to chase the golf which was speeding towards the main exit of the university.
The acclaimed robber according to Mr Bossco was quick to escape the security at the main gate by belting along the SSNIT road from the roundabout close to the Casford field.
Mr Bossco explained that the security team communicated with their checkpoint personnel on the off FELT - SRC Hostel stretch where the robber was arrested around 9pm.
The case has been sent to the university police station for investigation
