Mathematics is all around us, and it has shaped our understanding of the world in countless ways. For the record, i personally hate maths probably because i feel bored with numbers and perhaps because my high school maths teacher didn't like me or i didn't like him. However, mathematics have had a profound effect on the world.
I chanced upon this article as i was surfing the internet "In Pursuit of the Unknown, 17 equations that changed the world" written by Ian Stewart.
I have to confess i was surprised that Archimedes formula for the volume of sphere is not included here. Anyway, here are what Ian Stewart thinks are the greatest mathematical equations of all time.
