HOTSA Level 300 to Hold Sporting Event



The level 300 class of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HOTSA) will on Friday, 15th April 2016, host a sporting event dubbed "Hotsalympics",  at the UCC Sports Complex (Old-site).

The event, which is themed "Building Friendship Across Boundaries" is part of their event management course and will account for 20% of the total class score.

Departments under the Faculty of Social Sciences, including the Sociology and Anthropology Department, Geography and Regional Planning Department and the Population and Health Department, among others will be participating in the event which is scheduled to start at 8:00am.

Speaking to UCCtalks.com, a member of the publicity committee for the programme, Mr. Jack Will emphasized that, the event will see a blend of both local and foreign sporting activities such as oware, football, chess, ludo, basketball, athletics among a host of others.

 He also added that, the event management course has been the toughest course this semester since most of the exercises are based on practical application.

The University Community is invited to the program and "item 13" is massively assured.
