Is UCC Safe? Another Theft Case as Students Write Exams

A bag containing mobile phones and cash belonging to two students who came to write their exams today, 9th May 2016 at the College of Education Lecture Theatre (CELT) formally known as FELT has been stolen.

The students had kept the bag outside the lecture theatre while writing the examination. On their return, after writing the examination, the students found their bags missing. Students usually keep their mobile phones and other valuables in their bags outside the lecture theatres during examinations, and that’s when the thieves have been known to strike.

The latest victims are Clare Tergu and Abigail Fordjour both reading B.Sc. Hospitality Management.
Speaking to UCCtalks.com ’s Isaac Neequaye, Miss Tergu whose bag was stolen said that, the bags contained two phones; Infinix Hot and iPhone 5 and an amount of 75 Cedis. She also added that her room keys were in the bag.

Such thefts have been happening during examination periods using the same modus operandi.
Should students also have to worry about their bags and mobile phones being stolen while they are writing their papers?
