Hundreds of students had degrees conferred on them. Students who had distinguished themselves were also recognized.Addressing the assemblage, the President and Founder of Regent Rev. Prof. E.K. Larbi, thanked graduands for accepting their admission to Regent University College of Science and Technology. He urged members of the graduating class to be agents of change, wherever they found themselves, reminding them of the God-given capacity in humans to bring about change in contexts where “death and decay abound”.He reminded graduands that the acquisition of knowledge was a means to an end, and not an end in itself: “Knowledge they say, is power; but knowledge is power only when it empowers the individual to live a more meaningful life, to become an agent of change and transformation”, Prof. Larbi emphasized.

The Founder and President used the occasion to reiterate the institution’s mission of raising ethical, God-fearing, and highly skilful, visionary leaders who are empowered to confront negative cultural trappings that work against the growth and development of the continent.“You have a world before you to confront. In our part of the world, a lot of things are done inefficiently; instead of a spirit of excellence, we see the culture of mediocrity and ordinariness. Instead of beauty, we see the display of filth and garbage everywhere”,
Prof. Larbi noted. He challenged graduands to behave differently, as ambassadors with a mission to change the world.Special awards and citations were presented to members of the graduating class, who had distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavour. The presentations were done by Mr. Albert Amonoo, Regent's Senior Vice President.
