| UCC Students Voiced Their Frustration Over SRC Awards by using #StrictlyByInvitation |
Students of the University of Cape Coast(UCC) have taken to social media with the hashtag #StrictlyByInvitation to express disgust over the decision of the SRC which did not allow all of them to be at the Awards ceremony organized by the SRC because the event was strictly by invitation.
The hashtag which was mainly circulating on
Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp suggested that students saw the decision as a
deliberate affront to them.
They added that the SRC, which is supposed
to ensure students welfare have decided to ignore the students who voted them
in power and have organised an event which only features their friends and cronies.
The Awards which was held on Saturday, 30th April 2016 also received major criticism from the student populace as most
students speculated that the awards were given to undeserving winners.
