Faculty of Education Lecture Theatre (FELT) |
Faculty of Education Lecture Theatre (FELT) complex is really magnificent. The location of the building, the design, versatility and the landscape is truly stunning. It wouldn't take one much time to recognize the fact that the building was truly planned. If one would challenge its magnificence, perhaps the recent innovation of turning some unused space into offices and business ventures would satisfy all doubting Thomas'.
FELT complex is characterized by grandeur and extraordinary architecture, none of its features fascinate me more than its universal mirrors. Yes I said it, FELT mirrored windows are universal mirrors. The windows are constructed such that it is tinted outside and transparent on the inside, so people inside the lecture theatre see what's happening outside but people outside see images of themselves instead of what's happening inside (Hope you get what I mean). On a good day, about sixty percent (60%) of the school's population troop into the building for lectures and guess what, ninety-three percent (93%) of these students in one way or the other looks into the mirror to check out their figure. As if they are asking the mirror ''do i look good?” It’s quite funny when I see that LOL...
But hey! I don't think it is only students who take a look at their dressing, lecturers alike patronize the mirrors' service (Trust me on this). Imagine my surprise when i saw Prof...( i won't mention the name wai, let me please protect my GPA) take a look at felt 10 glass window and stood in front to tuck in well before entering the class oblivious that students were watching...LOL
As if some ladies too don't have dressing mirrors at their residence, one can easily spot a lady standing in front of the glass doors shaping her hair. Well, I personally love it when I see a pretty girl doing that (I’m just being honest). A lady could even leave a lecture just to rush to felt 9 glass door to apply a make-up, while all and sundry could see from the other side. I don’t understand this, don’t they know there are people at the other side who can actually see them. I guess the thought of looking good blocks that idea. On the part of guys, they behave like they are checking if a lecture is going on while passing by the mirror, but that’s a BIG LIE, they are just looking into the mirror to check themselves up.
Felt complex mirror is a life saver to the professor who want to look good to students, to the ladies who don’t have mirrors in their hostel and to the guys who want to leave a lasting impressions. A BIG THANK YOU to the architect and designers of the complex.
I don’t have any problem with anyone starring at the mirror, however, to the ladies, make sure you're extremely beautiful (so that you can break necks). The guys, chillax, it’s not a crime to look at the mirror and to our humble professors while taking time to adjust your shirt, please remember your students are watching
FELT glass windows and doors are truly universal mirrors!
